Ghouls and goblins of all ages are faced with the challenges of celebrating Halloween this year. With COVID-19 restrictions still in place, there are many that are opting to stay home. Well, staying home doesn’t mean foregoing the celebration and fun. There are plenty of things to do at home. You may even find it more fun. Here are some solid ways to put the fun back in old hallows eve.
1. If you have little ones that want to trick or treat:
a. Hide the candy inside the house and let them hunt to find it.
b. Buy a pinata and fill it with candy. To earn a whack at the snacks, the kids answer questions you of your choosing. This is also a good way to sneak some studying in.
2. For the grown-up ghosts and ghouls:
a. Have a small party at home, 3 to 5 of your best buds is all you need.
i. Play Cards
ii. Turn the music up
iii. BYOB, bring your own bag of candy and then swap treats
iv. All of the above
3. Family fun:
a. Bake some cookies (the Halloween-themed cookies are in stores now)
b. Tell ghost stories in the dark or by candlelight (made-up or classics) candles
c. Watch a scary movie (Hotel Transylvania, Nightmare before Christmas, Gremlins)
d. Do arts and crafts, your new creations will long outlast Halloween. Craft Ideas
No matter what you choose to do, make it fun. Most of 2020 has been spent inside and we’ve gotten very creative so I’m sure you will come up with something. The important thing is to stay safe and have a good time.
